I have either grown up or taught in the eras discussed in the beginning chapters. I found myself remembering all the stages and watching the changes take place. The challenge is to build relationships and boundaries that help the kids to deal with their situations. Their home situations are nothing like I knew, even though I came from a broken home. I am anxious to see what the other half of the book offers.
